About Me

I am a PhD student in Astrophysics at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland, where I am working with Dr Johanna Vos on brown dwarf atmospheres. Currently, I'm using JWST to characterise the equator-to-pole variation in L dwarf atmospheres. In particular I'm interested in how the silicate cloud feature evolves in my sample.

Previously, I completed my Bachelors at The University of Sydney in Physics and Mechatronics/Space Engineering and received my Masters in Astrophysics at Lund University. I enjoy participating in outreach opportunities, and sharing astronomy with the general public. In my free time, I enjoy knitting (yes, I made the jumper in the picture here!), crochet and various other crafts!

Secrets in the shadow

I developed a new method to extract the non-broadened stellar spectrum from a fast-rotating star. I used exoplanet transits around these fast-rotating host stars to isolate the stellar spectrum without the detrimental effects of rotation broadening. This was used to measure stellar abundances more precisely. Read more here.
